RF Performance Engineer I is responsible for supporting the analysis, implementation, optimization and enhancement of wireless telecommunications networks. Responsibilities include report generation, post processing data, interference analysis and optimization. The RF Performance Engineer I will work closely with and guidance from RF III, RF IV and Lead engineers to accomplish goals and objectives. They adapt to changes in a dynamic business environment, support management initiatives, and support other engineers. They exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions and results. They are able to present ideas, technical and non-technical, in a logical, compelling manner in a written format and verbally.
Experience with Drivetest data post-processing, map generation, and site database maintenance
Carry out optimization techniques (proper antenna selection for optimal horizontal/vertical performance, mechanical/electrical tilting, appropriate transmit setting, antenna clearance, neighbor list analysis, etc.) for site/clusterperformance
Execution various test cases at a cell-site location or in a given cluster per given Method Procedure (MOP) for Site ATP and field testplan.
Engineer will hand carry CPE antenna (2 Pound) to point it to desired direction before logging data points.
Log field measurements as required and assigned bySamsung.
Take detailed notes relevant information and documentation (i.e.address, co-ordinates,etc)
Monitor collected data and ensure test are completed and collected data isunusable
o     Schedule is set and failed test can impact project timelines, etc
Data collected must be uploaded to server provided by Samsungdaily
Provide daily updates and coordination with Samsung RF Engineer (including after eachtest)
Ensure all equipment is charged (laptops, mobile device, spectrum analyzer,etc)


Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering; Masters Degree a plus; 1-3 years experience in the wirelessindustry
A solid understanding fundamentals and data protocols
Strong technical knowledge of CDMA/EVDO and LTE/Voltetechnologies
Experience with parameter optimization, testing, drive-data and peg count analysis isrequired
Must have a strong work ethic, integrity and work extremely in a teamenvironment
Must have an aptitude for creativity andinnovation
Programming knowledge and experience a PERL, VBA,PHP
DAS and In Building experience aplus
Working knowledge of Base Station Vendor equipment
Proficient in the Mapping Software, such as,MapInfo
Experience with propagation planning tools aplus
Advanced working experience on Microsoft Excel, Power Point and AccessDatabase
Strong interpersonal communicationskills
Proven ability prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment
